Quilt In A Day Log Cabin

Make one of America's best loved quilts! Using Eleanor Burns "famous fast quilting" methods, it is easy to sew strips of light and dark fabric around a center "hearth" square. Finish the handsome Log Cabin Quilt by quickly sewing blocks together. Learn the fast and easy way to add batting and backing fabric or try the simple "birthing" method that lets you get your quilt off the sewing table and onto your bed before nightfall.

Join Eleanor Burns Certified Instructor, Debbie Gendusa, as she teaches the log cabin quilt using the Eleanor Burns Quilt in Day method. This is a 2-session class. Instructor Bio: Debbie Gendusa, a certified Quilt In A Day teacher, received her certification from Eleanor Burns in the mid-1980s. For several years, she taught Quilt In A Day classes at all Cloth World (now JoAnns) locations in the New Orleans area and exclusively at the Quilting Bee Quilt Shop in Metairie, LA. Debbie and her husband, Charles, moved to Las Vegas in 1989 where she completed both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in education at UNLV. She also taught quilt classes in Las Vegas and continued teaching in Metairie during her Christmas and summer breaks. In 2005-2007, Hurricane Katrina and the death of her husband interrupted her quilting career. Debbie is now living in Independence, LA, just outside of New Orleans, next door to her oldest daughter Christy and husband, John, and their three children. She frequently visits her youngest daughter, Michele and her husband, Greg, in Idaho. Debbie currently teaches Quilt In A Day classes at two Hobby Lobby locations in the North Shore of Lake Ponchatrain. In her spare time, she designs her own quilt patterns, is a longarm quilter, and enjoys membership at Going To Pieces Quilt Guild.
