Handmade Bear Workshop

There’s something special about a stuffed bear. It’s more than a toy. It’s a keepsake, a memory, and sometimes a comfort stitched with love.

In this hands-on class, students will learn how to create a fully finished stuffed bear from start to snuggly finish. We’ll walk step-by-step through cutting, construction, stuffing, shaping, and finishing details that bring personality to life.

Along the way, you’ll learn tips and techniques that apply to any soft sculpture project, not just bears. Whether your bear is destined to be a gift, a memory bear, or a treasured friend for yourself, you’ll leave with both skills and confidence.

You’ll Learn:

• How to work with stuffed animal patterns

• Fabric selection for structure, softness, and durability

• Proper cutting and marking techniques

• Sewing curves, limbs, and small openings with confidence

• Stuffing and shaping for a professional finish

• Attaching limbs and features securely

• Finishing touches that give your bear personality

Skill Level:

Confident beginner and up. Basic sewing machine knowledge required.

 Students Leave With:

• A completed handmade stuffed bear

• Techniques that translate to other soft toys and memory projects
