WORN & WONDERFUL™
WORN & WONDERFUL™
Bring Something Worn. Make It Wonderful.
That favorite pair of jeans with the worn knee. The jacket that needs a little something. A bag with a tear, a quilt with a tired spot, or a textile you just can’t quite bring yourself to throw away.
Bring it to WORN & WONDERFUL™.
This is a relaxed, creative textile experience where we’ll explore ways to repair, patch, stitch, embellish, and reimagine the things we already own. You might use visible mending, Boro-inspired stitching, embroidery, fabric patches, decorative threads, yarn, buttons, trims, or whatever else helps tell the story.
What can you bring?
```- Jeans or denim jackets
- Shirts, sweaters, bags, or other garments
- Older quilts or quilted pieces
- Fabric items with holes, stains, worn areas, or tears
- Something perfectly fine that you simply want to make more interesting
There is no single project everyone has to make and no requirement that your finished piece look like anyone else’s. We’ll help you look at what you brought, talk through the possibilities, demonstrate techniques as needed, and help you begin transforming it into something uniquely yours.
Bring your own scraps, embroidery floss, pearl cotton, yarn, trims, buttons, or other embellishments if you have favorites you’d like to use. We’ll also have ideas and inspiration waiting for you at Fox Country Quilts.
No perfection required. In fact, the worn spots may just become the best part.
Skill Level: All levels welcome
```Bring: One or more items you’d like to mend, embellish, or reimagine, plus any favorite scraps, threads, trims, or embellishments you’d like to incorporate.
