T-Shirt/Memory Quilts

Do you have a bunch of tee shirts that are taking up space in your closet? Are your dresser drawers overflowing with tee shirts that have goofy sayings, race commemoratives, favorite team tees? Has your child outgrown special tee shirts that you would like to keep but do not want taking up space in the attic? Make them into a quilt to hang on a wall or keep in circulation!

1.    Sort through your tee shirt collection. Determine which ones you want to use.
2.    Evaluate your collection. Is there a common color scheme? Is there a theme that runs through them?
3.    Launder all of the shirts. Do not use fabric softeners or anti-static sheets.
4.    Bring them to class and let's get started on making your own t-shirt/memory quilt.

In this class, we will learn how to get your t-shirts ready for using in a quilt.
